Feyenoord finds itself in a state of crisis, having failed to win their first match of the new year. The focus of criticism has intensified around Robin van Persie, while Technical Director Dennis te Kloese remains largely unchallenged. Mikos Gouka, a Feyenoord correspondent for the Algemeen Dagblad, suggests that te Kloese should make a public appearance to address the situation.

In the aftermath of the 2-2 draw against SC Heerenveen, the backlash against Feyenoord has been significant. Gouka remarks, “Dennis te Kloese has returned from abroad and I expect he will soon share his perspective on the current state of affairs.” In previous seasons, the Technical Director has typically addressed the media after the winter transfer period to reflect on the team’s progress.

With just over half the season completed, Feyenoord risks losing their second-place standing, as they consistently find themselves on the wrong end of the scoreline. Gouka adds, “He could state that Van Persie is a young coach who requires support during this challenging phase, or he might present an alternative narrative. However, currently, we have barely heard from him.”
