Feyenoord Women Secure Victory in City Derby Against Excelsior

Following their victory in the city derby against Excelsior, Feyenoord Women climbed to third place in the Eurojackpot Women’s Eredivisie on Sunday evening. This achievement came after a draw in the top match between FC Twente and Ajax.

Kirsten van de Westeringh emerged as the match-winner in the derby against Excelsior. In the seventy-first minute, the attacking midfielder struck the ball from approximately 25 meters out, sending it past the Excelsior goalkeeper with her left foot. This goal secured yet another three points for the women from Varkenoord.
