Football analysts Mika Gouka and Dennis van Eersel emphasize the club’s pressing need for a quality boost in its lineup. Nevertheless, the likelihood of completing successful transfers appears slim at this time.

According to FR12.nl, Gouka mentions that head coach Robin van Persie has been reticent about discussing the team’s transfer plans. “When questioned, Van Persie was not forthcoming with details. He did indicate that discussions are ongoing. It is important to note that they have not yet secured their Champions League spot, and the potential return from Timber’s transfer may not be substantial. Caution is necessary, but I understand they are actively seeking a midfielder.”

Van Eersel concurs, stating that Feyenoord is in dire need of a central defender. “The club heavily relies on Ahmedhodzic and Watanabe, with insufficient backup in that position. If anything were to happen to them, it would pose a significant issue. Trauner is not currently training with the group, and it raises questions about his reliability. The risk of him being sidelined again is considerable. I believe that reinforcement is essential. While it is challenging during the winter window, there is a particular need for a productive left winger who can make an immediate impact. Historically, such transfers are often more difficult to achieve in winter than in summer.”
