omidbasir- A late penalty from Casper Tengstedt propelled Feyenoord to a narrow victory over Go Ahead Eagles on Sunday. Despite his pivotal role in the match, the Danish forward seems to be feeling somewhat discontent in Rotterdam, and he is not alone in his sentiments.

Tengstedt, who has scored several goals for Feyenoord this season, including the decisive strike against the Deventenaren, faces an uncertain future under head coach Robin van Persie. Mikos Gouka of FC Rijnmond commented, “If he is not being selected as the primary striker, it essentially signals a farewell to the player. However, a week later, he must still deliver a strong performance to prove his worth, which he did quite well.”

On the other hand, there are concerns surrounding Ayase Ueda’s confidence. Although he appeared to be the most logical choice for the penalty kick on paper, Gouka indicated that Ueda’s refusal to take the shot suggests a lack of belief in his ability to convert it. “This could be seen as a wise decision, but it also reflects his current mental state in terms of confidence,” he noted. While Ueda remains the leading scorer in the Eredivisie, he has not found the net since his impressive performance against PEC Zwolle in early December.
