Feyenoord s Pursuit of Maher Carrizo Official Bid MadeFeyenoord s Pursuit of Maher Carrizo Official Bid Made

In the realm of speculative sports news, we should take this with a grain of salt. According to reports, Feyenoord has made an official bid for Maher Carrizo from Vélez Sarsfield.

The Rotterdam club has long been linked to the winger, but as noted by Ariel Cristófalo of the aforementioned source, they are now taking concrete steps: “River Plate believed they had secured the acquisition of Maher Carrizo, but the deal has become complicated again; Feyenoord has formally offered for the 19-year-old winger.”

Financial considerations remain a concern. The Algemeen Dagblad suggests, however, that this situation may change: “Meanwhile, there are tentative inquiries regarding Anis Hadj Moussa. Although Olympique Marseille has not yet made an official approach, French sources predict a serious attempt to acquire the forward this winter. If Hadj Moussa departs or if Quinten Timber, whose contract is expiring, transfers this winter, funds may suddenly become available.”

This situation seems contradictory to the notion of an official bid for Carrizo, especially considering that the Argentine player could cost around eleven million euros (twice what River Plate is willing to pay for him) or even sixteen million euros.
