FIFA will award $2.3 million in prize money to the club that emerges victorious in the first Women’s Champions Cup, taking place at Arsenal’s stadium next week. This marks the highest single payout ever granted in women’s club soccer, underscoring FIFA’s commitment to the growth of the sport.

On Friday, FIFA revealed that a total of $3.9 million will be distributed among the six continental champions participating in the tournament. The events in London serve as a precursor to the anticipated full Women’s Club World Cup set for 2028.

The European champions, Arsenal, are scheduled to compete against ASFAR of Morocco. This match will follow a semifinal clash between Gotham FC from the United States and Brazil’s Corinthians, both taking place on Wednesday at Brentford’s home ground.

The final will be held at Arsenal’s stadium on February 1, following a third-place playoff at the same venue. The winning club will receive $2.3 million, while the runner-up will earn $1 million, and each losing semifinalist will be awarded $200,000. Additionally, two continental champions eliminated in earlier rounds, Auckland United from Oceania and Wuhan Chegu Jiangda from Asia, will each receive $100,000.

FIFA Secretary General Mattias Grafström emphasized that the prize money reflects a strong belief in women’s club football and the players, teams, and competitions that are driving its ongoing development.

Last season, Arsenal received over €1.5 million ($1.8 million) for winning the UEFA Women’s Champions League. In comparison, FIFA allocated $1 billion among 32 teams in the men’s 2025 Club World Cup, with both finalists, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain, earning over $100 million each. This tournament in the United States was supported by Saudi Arabian funding to ensure that prestigious European clubs received the financial incentives needed to participate.
