Fraser Forster’s most recent senior appearance took place on December 29, 2024.

Bournemouth has officially signed former Tottenham and Celtic goalkeeper Fraser Forster on a six-month contract.

At 37 years of age, Forster joins the Vitality Stadium as a backup for first-choice goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic, following an injury to Will Dennis.

Having been a free agent since his contract with Spurs expired last summer, Forster last represented England in 2016, earning a total of six caps.

“The opportunity arose, and for me, it was one I couldn’t refuse,” Forster expressed. “I am absolutely delighted. The process happened quite swiftly, but I am thrilled to be here and to be part of the team.

I look forward to contributing to the squad in any way I can for the remainder of the season. The club’s trajectory and ambition are truly appealing to me.”

Bournemouth is currently enduring a challenging winless streak that extends over ten top-flight matches, dating back to October 26. They will host Arsenal in the Premier League on Saturday, with Forster anticipated to be included among the substitutes.

Additionally, earlier on Friday, the Cherries announced that 24-year-old right-back Julian Araujo from Mexico has completed a loan move to Celtic.
