Fred Grim to Continue as Ajax Head Coach for the SeasonFred Grim to Continue as Ajax Head Coach for the Season

Fred Grim will remain the head coach of Ajax for the current season, as announced by ESPN on Monday afternoon. The sixty-year-old coach took over from the dismissed John Heitinga in November, and he has made notable progress in Amsterdam since then.

Initially brought in as an assistant to Heitinga, Grim was soon appointed as the head coach following Heitinga’s departure. This decision has proven successful, leading Ajax to allow him to complete the season in charge. Although Grim lost his first three matches, he bounced back impressively, winning six of his last seven games, with only a draw against NEC (2-2) interrupting his winning streak. In December, he was recognized as the Rinus Michels Trainer of the Month for his achievements.
