Fulham Offers Contract Extension to Manager Marco Silva Amidst Challenging SeasonFulham Offers Contract Extension to Manager Marco Silva Amidst Challenging Season

Marco Silva joined Fulham in 2021 and has since become a pivotal figure for the club. With his current contract set to expire at the end of the season, Fulham’s board has extended an offer for a new deal.

The club is eager to retain the Portuguese manager, despite his previous concerns regarding the summer transfer window. Silva expressed dissatisfaction with the board’s approach, describing their actions as “passive” just before the Premier League season commenced. During the last transfer window, Fulham invested approximately £40 million on five new players.

As the season progresses, Fulham has encountered a challenging start, currently positioned just one point above the relegation zone in 15th place. Silva, who previously managed Everton and Watford, signed a three-year contract with Fulham in 2023 after successfully leading the team to promotion in 2022 and maintaining their status in the top flight since then.

His managerial prowess has drawn attention in the past, with speculation linking him to managerial vacancies at prestigious clubs such as Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.
