Fulham has made a bid of £28 million to acquire 23-year-old forward Ricardo Pepi from PSV Eindhoven.

Sources indicate that this offer for the United States international is below PSV’s asking price of £30 million; however, Fulham remains optimistic about reaching a favorable agreement.

Pepi has demonstrated his scoring ability this season, netting eight goals in 15 Eredivisie matches and adding three more in five Champions League appearances.

Manager Marco Silva’s team is in search of a striker, particularly following the sidelining of Rodrigo Muniz, who is recovering from hamstring surgery performed in November.

Current first-choice striker Raul Jimenez, aged 34, is set to be out of contract at the end of the season, prompting the need for additional attacking options.

Additionally, Silva has confirmed that winger Adama Traore is likely to depart the club, as evidenced by his exclusion from the squad during Saturday’s 2-1 comeback victory over Brighton.

Fulham is also in discussions with Manchester City winger Oscar Bobb, although these negotiations do not appear to be advancing.
