Fulham has completed the signing of Norwegian winger Oscar Bobb from Manchester City for a fee of £27 million.

At 22 years old, Bobb has signed a five-and-a-half-year contract at Craven Cottage and will don the number 14 shirt for the upcoming season.

“It feels great to be here. I had a wonderful day meeting everyone, and I’m very excited to get started,” Bobb remarked during his introduction.

Before finalizing his move, Bobb sought the advice of fellow Norwegian and Fulham midfielder Sander Berge. “I spoke with Sander, my good friend, and the manager explained the system, the team dynamics, and the overall environment at the club. He seemed lovely, so it made my decision quite easy,” Bobb added.

A product of Manchester City’s academy, Bobb made 47 appearances for the senior squad, contributing three goals and four assists across all competitions.

According to sources, Manchester City will maintain a 20% sell-on clause, along with matching rights for any future offers received by Fulham. This strategy was illustrated earlier this summer when City re-signed goalkeeper James Trafford from Burnley after also accepting a bid from Newcastle.

Bobb found himself lower in the ranks at City following the January acquisition of Antoine Semenyo from Bournemouth. In response to inquiries about Bobb’s intentions, manager Pep Guardiola acknowledged, “I think so,” suggesting that a departure was likely.

Bobb, who has also garnered interest from Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund, has made 15 appearances for City this season without finding the net. His last match was on December 17 against Brentford in the Carabao Cup, where he sustained an injury just 20 minutes into the game.

Currently, Fulham is on a positive trajectory, having lost only one of their last seven Premier League matches under manager Marco Silva. The team sits seventh in the league following their recent 2-1 victory over Brighton.

Bobb has represented Norway six times this year, aiding in their qualification for the upcoming World Cup, and will reunite with compatriot Sander Berge at Craven Cottage. He missed a significant portion of last season due to a fractured leg sustained during training in August 2024.
