Fulham s Pursuit of Ricardo Pepi PSV s Stance and Future ConsiderationsFulham s Pursuit of Ricardo Pepi PSV s Stance and Future Considerations

In recent weeks, Fulham has made significant efforts to secure the services of Ricardo Pepi. However, it appears that the likelihood of the American striker departing Eindhoven this winter is minimal. In the Transfermind podcast, Mounir Boualin indicated that PSV would only entertain discussions for Pepi at a price starting from €45 million.

Pepi has long been regarded as one of PSV’s most intriguing assets for foreign clubs. Last season, he was frequently linked to a move to the Premier League, and Fulham has once again attempted to entice the American international away this winter. Despite their offer falling between €30 million and €35 million, it did not suffice to persuade PSV.

“We do not intend to sell Ricardo. Not even for a higher offer? At this moment, there is no point in considering such a scenario since that offer has not been made,” acknowledged PSV’s technical director, Earnest Stewart, in a recent interview with Voetbal International.

Is Earnest Stewart taking a significant risk? On one hand, Pepi is still working to regain his top form, raising questions about whether he can return to his pre-injury performance levels at PSV. Boualin, however, firmly believes that rejecting Fulham’s proposal is not a gamble. “No, I don’t think so. I believe that there will always be clubs in the summer willing to make that same offer, and it might even increase.”
