Following a 2-2 draw against Elche and a 2-1 victory over Athletic, the players are eager to build on their recent positive momentum.

“The last match was excellent. It was a victory we had been searching for, and it holds significant importance for us. It will boost our confidence for the upcoming game against Mallorca, which we know will be challenging. At home, their statistics speak for themselves; they have become quite strong. We must give our all to secure the three points,” he stated.

On his personal progress, Fernández expressed, “I feel happy; the coach is instilling a lot of confidence in me, and I am striving to give my best on the field, which is what matters. This could be one of the best moments in my career, but I believe I can achieve even more.”

Regarding new teammate Maupay, he commented, “I have trained with him for two sessions, and I’m getting to know him better. He integrates well with the group, and it’s essential for us to assist him in adapting quickly so he can contribute his skills to the team. Adding more players to our cause is crucial.”

Reflecting on his previous season, he noted, “Last year was my first in the top division, and it did take time to adapt. While I am not entirely satisfied with my season, I am pleased with my efforts. Persistence leads to results. I am genuinely happy with Matías; he instills confidence in all of us, and we are collectively working hard to progress.”

On his field position, he remarked, “I aim to adapt to whatever role is assigned to me. I feel comfortable playing just behind the forwards. As I mentioned, I strive to adjust in any way possible to support the team.”

Acknowledging the fans, he said, “Receiving applause from the stands is a beautiful experience for any player, and I am grateful to the supporters. I believe I am performing well, but I still have much more to give.”

Lastly, regarding the transfer market, he stated, “I want to succeed here, both personally and collectively, so I have no thoughts of leaving. As for the transfer market, I cannot comment as it is not my area of responsibility. However, I can assure you that those of us here are working diligently to turn things around. If new players come in, they will be warmly welcomed.”
