In last night’s fixture in Fürth, the Germany U21 team faced off against Malta, resulting in a largely one-sided match. Under the guidance of coach Antonio Di Salvo, the team secured an impressive 6-0 victory, showcasing their dominance throughout the game.

The goals were not only plentiful but were also scored by key players, making the evening memorable for the young Germans. Captain Tom Bischof, who made a modest debut for the U21s during the recent October international break, achieved a remarkable hat trick. His Bayern Munich teammate, the much-heralded Lennart Karl, contributed significantly as well, netting two goals of his own. Following the match, an exuberant Karl shared his thoughts in an interview with ran.de.

“Everything went perfectly,” Karl expressed. “This was my U21 debut, I scored two goals, and the team performed exceptionally well. It’s truly enjoyable to play alongside this group.”

Displaying his characteristic confidence, often described as “healthy arrogance,” the 17-year-old also demonstrated maturity in his reflections. He acknowledged his current form and the momentum he is experiencing both at Bayern and within the U21 setup.

“I feel I’m in top form at the moment,” Karl stated. “Things are going well at Bayern, and they are going well here with the U21s. I recognize the attention, but I am not focused on social media or the hype surrounding me.”
