Getafe’s Strategic Moves in the Transfer Market

Getafe is actively working in the transfer market to acquire new players, following a specific request from coach José Bordalás. The coach believes the current squad is insufficient to tackle the challenges ahead for the remainder of the season.

During a segment on ‘La Pizarra’ on Radio MARCA, transfer specialist Matteo Moretto confirmed that Getafe has reached agreements with both Chimy Ávila and Dani Rodríguez.

“Both players have completed their agreements with Getafe. Everything has been finalized,” Matteo stated. “What remains is the approval from LaLiga to register them. There are still some details to finalize with Betis regarding Chimy, but only the registration is pending for Dani,” he explained about the team’s reinforcements in this winter transfer window.

Getafe’s top priorities for new signings include an additional forward, distinct from Chimy, as well as a central defender.

In the upcoming match against Real Sociedad, Bordalás faces a challenge as he lacks a dedicated defender for the center of the defense due to the injuries of Abqar and the suspensions of Djene and Duarte.
