Girona Hosts Open Training Session for FansGirona Hosts Open Training Session for Fans

Girona conducted its traditional open training session for members at the Montilivi stadium. Under the guidance of coach Míchel, players engaged in a session lasting just over an hour and a half, featuring various exercises centered around the ball. Fans observed the athletes’ development firsthand.

Outside the white-and-red stadium, a Fan Zone was established, offering activities for all ages. This included workshops, esports, games, a culinary area, and competitions related to the club’s sponsors and partners.

Notable new players on the field included David López, Krapyvtsov, Stuani, and Abel Ruiz. The latter two participated in only part of the training before heading to the locker room for gym work or physiotherapy. David López and Krapyvtsov completed the session without issue, fully recovered and available for Míchel. However, Portu and Van de Beek were absent due to long-term injuries.

At the conclusion of the training, players signed autographs, took photos with fans, and distributed gifts such as balls, books, jerseys, and other merchandise.

The Argentine player was not present at the training as he awaits official presentation. Girona must first make room for him by transferring either Solis or Asprilla to another club to free up a space for non-EU players. Following this, bureaucratic processes will dictate the timeline, as Echeverri must leave Bayer Leverkusen and, upon returning to Manchester City, be loaned to the Catalan club.
