Guardiola Expresses Regret Over Post Match Incident with CameramanGuardiola Expresses Regret Over Post Match Incident with Cameraman

omidbasir- Pep Guardiola has publicly acknowledged feelings of “embarrassment and shame” following an incident involving a television cameraman after Manchester City’s defeat to Newcastle United on Saturday.

The confrontation took place on the pitch at St James’ Park, where Guardiola appeared to engage in an intense exchange with the cameraman. Additionally, he was seen in animated discussions with referee Samuel Barrott and Newcastle midfielder Bruno Guimarães in the wake of City’s 2-1 loss.

During a news conference on Monday, Guardiola addressed the situation directly. He confirmed that he had apologized to the cameraman shortly after the incident. “I feel embarrassed, ashamed when I see it,” he stated. “I don’t like it. I apologized after one second to the cameraman. I am who I am. After 1,000 games, I’m not a perfect person; I make huge mistakes. What is for sure is that I defend any team and my club, and that’s the reason why.”

As he prepared for the upcoming Champions League match against Bayer Leverkusen, Guardiola also took a subtle jab at Claudio Echeverri’s representation. Echeverri, an Argentine player on loan from City to Leverkusen, has had limited playing time since his transfer to the Bundesliga.

“Always, I would love for players to play a lot of minutes; the intention is always there,” Guardiola remarked when discussing Echeverri’s situation. “We have incredible appreciation for him as a football player. I am sure, pretty sure, his agent will know everything.”

When asked about the possibility of Echeverri returning to City in January, Guardiola responded, “It is a question for his beautiful agent.”
