omidbasir- Guido Rodríguez and Unai Núñez participated in their first training session as Valencia players on Monday, joining the team at the Paterna training complex in preparation for their upcoming match against Real Betis on Sunday at 16:15. Both players arrived in excellent physical condition and are expected to be included in the squad traveling to Seville on Saturday, barring any issues during the week.

The latest addition, Guido Rodríguez, a 31-year-old Argentine midfielder, finalized his contract with Valencia on Monday after terminating his agreement with West Ham United, where he had limited playing time this season, featuring in only eight matches—three as a starter—in the Premier League.

His transfer was agreed upon on Friday following negotiations with the London club, which ultimately sanctioned the player’s departure for an undisclosed fee, as confirmed in a statement from West Ham. Rodríguez arrived in Valencia on Sunday and underwent a medical examination on Monday morning, a prerequisite for formalizing his contract until June 2026.

This marks Rodríguez’s return to LaLiga, a league he is familiar with from his four and a half seasons at Betis. He may have the opportunity to debut for Valencia against his former club if the coaching staff deems it appropriate.

Meanwhile, Spanish defender Unai Núñez also joined the squad on Friday, adding depth to the defensive line. Valencia announced his signing just before their match against Espanyol, and there were speculations about his potential inclusion in that match if the international transfer had been processed in time. As of late Monday, January 26, neither player is yet registered with LaLiga, a bureaucratic procedure that can be completed before the next league match.
