Guido Rodríguez has officially joined Valencia FC. The player arrived in Valencia tonight and will undergo a medical examination tomorrow at 11:00 AM. Upon successful completion of the medical, the midfielder will begin training under coach Carlos Corberán.

Rodríguez represents the third reinforcement for Valencia’s coach in this winter transfer market, following the acquisitions of Sadiq and Unai Núñez.

Valencia successfully secured the footballer after he terminated his contract with West Ham, which was set to expire next summer. The Argentine was not included in the plans of either Graham Potter or Nuno, having only played 177 minutes in the Premier League this season. Seeking a move away from England, Rodríguez aimed to find a team where he could secure more playing time in anticipation of the upcoming World Cup.

Valencia presented an ideal opportunity for Rodríguez. Returning to LaLiga, a competition with which he is familiar, was crucial for him to catch the attention of Lionel Scaloni, the national team coach for Argentina.

Rodríguez, 31, is known for his immediate impact on the field and his ability to support the team during challenging moments in matches. His extensive experience in LaLiga, gained over four and a half seasons at Betis, coupled with his subsequent stint in the Premier League, aligns perfectly with the team’s needs.
