Mateusz Bogusz is on the verge of returning to Major League Soccer (MLS), as Houston Dynamo approaches a deal to sign the Polish midfielder from Cruz Azul. Reports from Súper Deportivo indicate that the Texas club has made a final offer of $6 million upfront, with an additional $4 million contingent on performance incentives.

Negotiations between the two clubs have reportedly progressed smoothly in recent days, instilling confidence that the agreement will be finalized shortly. Houston aims to secure Bogusz as a vital addition for the 2026 season, while Cruz Azul is amenable to the transfer given the player’s desire to continue his career in the United States.

At 24 years old, Bogusz joined La Máquina prior to the Clausura 2025 and has since made 39 official appearances, contributing three goals and seven assists. Despite being a consistent performer, his position became uncertain in recent weeks, culminating in his absence from preseason preparations for the Clausura 2026.

Houston Dynamo has already strengthened its squad with the return of Héctor Herrera and is now looking to further bolster their midfield with Bogusz’s versatility and international experience. If the transfer is completed, it would represent another significant transaction between MLS and Liga MX ahead of the upcoming campaign.
