Injury Concerns for Eintracht Frankfurt as Players Undergo MRIsInjury Concerns for Eintracht Frankfurt as Players Undergo MRIs

omidbasir- Eintracht Frankfurt’s players Arnaud Kalimuendo and Rasmus Kristensen are scheduled for MRI scans following injuries sustained during Saturday’s Bundesliga match. Kalimuendo played only 17 minutes before falling awkwardly on his shoulder early in the game against Borussia Mönchengladbach, while right-back Rasmus Kristensen was sidelined with an ankle injury, preventing him from participating in the second half.

In the post-match press conference, new head coach Albert Riera expressed concerns about Kalimuendo’s condition, stating that the situation “wasn’t looking good.” Reports from Kicker and Sport Bild suggest that the Nottingham Forest loanee could be facing an extended period on the sidelines. Meanwhile, Eintracht is close to welcoming back leading goal-scorer Jonathan Burkardt but remains hampered in their attacking options due to injuries to Can Uzun and Younes Ebnoutalib.

Despite a season marked by defensive errors, Kristensen is recognized as one of the most dedicated players on the team. His absence will be felt significantly by Eintracht, especially considering that backup right-back Nnamdi Collins has been struggling with confidence this year.

The team’s defensive lineup has been further depleted this week due to additional injury news. Belgian international Arthur Theate, who has started 19 of 22 Bundesliga fixtures this season and completed 90 minutes in nearly every match, also underwent an MRI this week. On Wednesday, Eintracht confirmed that the 25-year-old had suffered a meniscus tear and is not expected to return to action anytime soon. Fortunately, the injury is not as severe as initially feared, but it appears that Eintracht will be without Theate for at least a month.
