Injury Concerns for Jack Grealish Following Impressive Loan at EvertonInjury Concerns for Jack Grealish Following Impressive Loan at Everton

Jack Grealish played the entirety of Everton’s 1-0 victory against his former club, Aston Villa, over the weekend. However, reports have now emerged indicating that the 30-year-old has sustained a foot injury, which could potentially sideline him for a substantial portion of the season. According to The Athletic, the England international is set to consult a specialist in the coming days to evaluate the extent of the injury.

In recent seasons, Grealish has struggled to replicate the form that justified Manchester City’s £100 million ($134 million) investment when he joined from Villa in 2021. Once celebrated for his flair and creativity, he appeared to lose his spark under manager Pep Guardiola’s tactical demands. Nevertheless, since joining Everton on a season-long loan, Grealish seems to have rediscovered some of his previous brilliance, contributing two goals and six assists in 22 appearances. If he maintains this trajectory, he could have been in contention for a position in Thomas Tuchel’s England squad for the upcoming World Cup. Now, however, he may face a significant challenge in achieving that ambition.
