omidbasir- Manchester United is concerned that Patrick Dorgu may be sidelined for several weeks due to an injury sustained during their recent victory over Arsenal, sources have informed ESPN.

The Danish international, who scored a remarkable goal in the 3-2 win at the Emirates Stadium, was substituted nine minutes before the final whistle. Caretaker manager Michael Carrick expressed hopes that the issue was merely cramp.

However, Dorgu was unable to participate in post-match media obligations as he was receiving treatment. Subsequent assessments conducted on Monday indicated that the injury may be more serious than initially anticipated, and the 21-year-old could face a lengthy absence.

ESPN sources report that Manchester United currently lacks a definitive timeline for Dorgu’s return, pending further evaluations scheduled for Tuesday.

A prolonged absence would be a significant setback for Carrick, particularly as Dorgu has scored in both matches under his interim leadership—first in the 2-0 victory against Manchester City, followed by his goal against Arsenal.

Manchester United’s next match is scheduled against Fulham at Old Trafford on Sunday. They will also face Tottenham, West Ham, and Everton before the end of February.

In other news, the supporter group known as The 1958 has announced plans to protest prior to the Fulham match. The demonstration will target the club’s majority owners, the Glazer family, as well as minority stakeholder Sir Jim Ratcliffe.

A spokesperson for The 1958 stated, “Recent results are attributable to Michael Carrick and the players, and they have occurred despite our ineffective ownership, not because of it. This club continues to stumble from one crisis to another. Fans should not be misled by two positive results. We have experienced this too many times in the past. Our protest has never been solely about on-pitch performances, neither now nor at any point in the last 21 years. We are evaluating a dysfunctional ownership model that has consistently failed Manchester United.”
