Real Betis announced on Tuesday, via a medical report shared on their social media channels and website, that a new injury has occurred within their squad. Specifically, during yesterday’s training session, Rodrigo Riquelme experienced discomfort, which was later assessed and diagnosed by the medical staff as a mild proximal myotendinous injury to the left adductor muscle.

The club has not provided a specific timeline for Riquelme’s recovery; however, given that it is a mild muscular issue, he is expected to be sidelined for approximately two to three weeks. Consequently, the midfielder will miss the squad selection by Manuel Pellegrini for the UEFA Europa League match this Thursday in Greece, where Betis faces PAOK, aiming to secure three points that would ensure their position in the top eight of the standings and direct qualification for the round of 16.
