RB Leipzig has confirmed that players Rômulo and Péter Gulácsi trained individually on Sunday due to injury concerns.

Both athletes participated in training on Saturday morning but had to exit the session prematurely after reporting discomfort. Rômulo experienced ankle pain following a challenge, while Gulácsi is dealing with a knee issue.

Additionally, teammates Antonio Nusa and Johan Bakayoko continue to train separately, which has left Leipzig short in attacking options. This situation is compounded by Yan Diomande’s current participation in the Africa Cup of Nations with the Ivory Coast, leaving Conrad Harder as the only recognized forward available for coach Ole Werner.

Despite the individual training sessions for these four players, reports from Kicker indicate there are no significant concerns regarding their long-term availability.

Furthermore, RB Leipzig has announced that Lukas Klostermann is not part of their training camp in Almancil due to an illness.

As they prepare to face St. Pauli on January 10, RB Leipzig finds themselves twelve points behind leaders Bayern Munich.
