“Beyond the game itself, Wouter is genuinely an intelligent individual. He has a charming personality and presents himself well on camera. We all have a fondness for Italian defenders… I truly miss a player like Nigel de Jong. While I wouldn’t want to see too many ‘Woutertjes Goes’ in the Eredivisie, having an occasional unconventional player is certainly refreshing,” Vahle adds.
