Inter Miami Nears Permanent Signing of Tadeo Allende and Loan Deal for MicaelInter Miami Nears Permanent Signing of Tadeo Allende and Loan Deal for Micael

Inter Miami is reportedly finalizing an agreement to permanently sign Tadeo Allende from Celta Vigo, as reported by The Athletic. This deal would allow the Argentine winger to remain in South Florida without taking up a Designated Player spot, thus maintaining Miami’s financial flexibility ahead of the 2026 season.

Allende emerged as a pivotal contributor during Miami’s championship run, setting an MLS record for the most goals scored in a single postseason as the club clinched the MLS Cup. In total, the 26-year-old scored 24 goals across all competitions last season, establishing himself as a vital attacking asset alongside Lionel Messi.

Following their 2025 championship victory, Miami’s front office is actively reshaping the roster. The retirements of Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba have opened two Designated Player slots; one is expected to be filled by Rodrigo De Paul. Since Allende is not anticipated to occupy the remaining slot, this would preserve the option for another significant signing during the winter transfer window.

Moreover, Inter Miami is reportedly on the verge of securing Brazilian defender Micael, who is set to leave Palmeiras to further his career in Major League Soccer. According to UOL and GE Globo, negotiations between the clubs are progressing well, with the transfer expected to be structured as a one-year loan with an option to buy. Palmeiras, who retains the player’s rights, has already approved the proposed terms of the transfer.

Should the loan be successful, Inter Miami would have the opportunity to make Micael’s move permanent. Reports suggest the purchase clause is set at $6 million, a figure that would allow the club to retain Micael for the subsequent season, contingent on his performance.
