Inter Miami announced the signing of defender Facundo Mura on Saturday. Mura joins the MLS Cup champions as a free agent, securing a contract that will keep him with the club until June 2029.

The right-back is set to be integrated into the roster for the 2026 season, contingent upon the receipt of his P-1 Visa and International Transfer Certificate (ITC).

At 26 years old, Mura arrives at Inter Miami after a significant tenure with Argentine side Racing Club. He has also played for Estudiantes de La Plata and Club Atlético Colón, amassing a remarkable record of 13 goals and 20 assists across 200 appearances in all competitions.

On the international stage, Mura has represented Argentina at the youth level, contributing to the team’s success at the 2020 CONMEBOL South American U20 Championship and competing in the 2019 FIFA U20 World Cup held in Poland.

Mura marks Inter Miami’s second defensive acquisition of the offseason, following the signing of left-back Sergio Reguilón, who joined the club on a two-year contract running through December 2027.

As the transfer window continues, the team’s roster is expected to evolve further ahead of the 2026 season, which is scheduled to commence on February 21 against LAFC.

Additionally, following Inter Miami’s MLS Cup victory on December 6, the team confirmed the return of veteran striker Luis Suárez, who has extended his contract through the end of the 2026 season.
