Jaimy Ravensbergen’s Stellar Year with FC Twente

The year 2025 was remarkable for Jaimy Ravensbergen, the striker for FC Twente. She emerged as the top scorer, clinched the championship, and secured the cup title. At the start of the year, she did not anticipate such success.

Ravensbergen faced some adversity, including verbal abuse from PSV players during matches. Despite a challenging beginning to the season, where she started on the bench, Ravensbergen diligently worked her way up to become an indispensable asset for the women’s team at FC Twente. “In the first half of the season, I didn’t even have a place in the starting lineup. My focus then was on seizing any opportunity that came my way,” she remarked.

However, the season took a turn during the final match, where she was involved in a collision with former teammate Gwyneth Hendriks. Hendriks lost her balance and landed awkwardly, resulting in a severe injury—a torn cruciate ligament. Unfortunately, Ravensbergen faced backlash from PSV players as a consequence of this incident.
