Jamal Musiala Poised for Return to Bayern MunichJamal Musiala Poised for Return to Bayern Munich

Jamal Musiala is set to make his anticipated return to Bayern Munich this month, nearly six months after suffering a broken fibula and dislocated ankle during a FIFA Club World Cup match against Paris Saint-Germain.

According to Sport Bild, Musiala has been training individually throughout the winter break and will soon be reintegrated into team training sessions, gradually increasing his participation until he can train at full capacity. If all goes well, the 22-year-old could see his first minutes of the season in the latter half of the month.

With upcoming matches against Union Saint-Gilloise (January 21), Augsburg (January 24), PSV (January 28), and Hamburg (January 31), there will be ample opportunities for Musiala to return to the pitch.

However, it may take over two months for Musiala to regain his peak form, raising questions about how he will fit into Vincent Kompany’s team dynamics. Notably, Serge Gnabry, who has six months left on his current contract, has regained his form, while Michael Olise is also performing exceptionally well. Additionally, Lennart Karl is making headlines with his breakthrough campaign, becoming the youngest player in UEFA Champions League history to score in three consecutive matchdays.
