Jamie Leweling s Future A Matter of Time Says TeammateJamie Leweling s Future A Matter of Time Says Teammate

VfB Stuttgart forward Jamie Leweling has opted to decline a potential transfer to the Premier League for the moment.

However, his friend and teammate Deniz Undav believes it is only a matter of time before Leweling makes a move to England. Undav expressed this sentiment with his characteristic sardonic humor during post-match interviews in the mixed zone last night.

Following Stuttgart’s impressive victory over Bayer Leverkusen at the BayArena on Saturday night, Undav and six of his fellow starters showcased their talent. All seven players from VfB’s starting XI are in the running to represent Germany at the upcoming World Cup. Undav expressed his expectation of joining Leweling on Bundestrainer Julian Nagelsmann’s team.

“Thank God [he’ll be staying],” Undav remarked to reporters. “It’s shaping up to be a promising summer for him too. If he continues playing at this level, his market value will only increase. He’s an ideal candidate for the Premier League.

“When he is focused, he’s incredibly hard to defend against,” Undav continued. “He possesses physical strength and speed. He has all the attributes needed to succeed as a footballer, [jokingly] except for my technique.

“He has all the necessary qualities,” Undav concluded, referencing the fact that Stuttgart has already rejected two substantial offers from English clubs for Leweling. “I hope the English clubs continue to increase their bids.”
