Jamie Leweling’s Future in the Premier League: Insights from Teammate Deniz Undav

While VfB Stuttgart forward Jamie Leweling has chosen to decline a move to the Premier League for the time being, his friend and teammate Deniz Undav believes it is only a matter of time before Leweling makes the transition. Undav shared this sentiment during his typically sardonic interviews in the mixed zone following their match against Bayer Leverkusen.

After helping lead the team to a decisive victory over the favored Bayer Leverkusen at the BayArena on Saturday night, Undav, along with six other Stuttgart starters, discussed their aspirations of representing Germany in the upcoming World Cup. He expressed his confidence in being alongside Leweling on Bundestrainer Julian Nagelsmann’s squad.

“Thank God [he’ll be staying],” Undav stated when speaking to reporters. “It shapes up to be a good summer for him too. If he continues to play like this, his market value will certainly increase. He is a perfect fit for the Premier League.”

Undav elaborated on Leweling’s capabilities, noting, “When he has a clear mindset, he’s difficult to defend against. He’s physically strong and fast. He truly possesses all the attributes necessary to succeed as a footballer, [jokingly] except for my technique.”

Concluding his remarks, Undav emphasized Leweling’s potential, particularly in light of Stuttgart’s rejection of two substantial bids from English Premier League clubs. “I hope [the English clubs] continue to increase their offers,” he added.
