Joaquín Sánchez Appointed as Betis Advisor: A New Chapter in His Journey

Shortly after the Board of Directors of Real Betis appointed Joaquín Sánchez as a club advisor—an appointment that will require shareholder approval at the upcoming General Assembly in mid-December—the legendary captain of the verdiblancos shared his thoughts on this new role through the club’s official media. This move marks a significant step as he takes on greater responsibilities within the organization he holds dear.

For Joaquín, known by his jersey number ’17’, this appointment represents a crucial milestone in his professional journey within the administrative realm: “Imagine the joy and immense pride I feel. First and foremost, as everyone knows, Betis is my life. It is where I grew as a player, where I nurtured my dreams, and now this is another step in this new chapter as an advisor. I am thrilled because I believe it is a wonderful opportunity to continue learning, and importantly, even as a new advisor, I will remain involved in the sporting aspect and contribute where I feel happiest and can provide the most value.”

Despite his new role on the Board, Joaquín will remain connected to the sporting department.
