Joey Veerman Commits to PSV Amid Fenerbahçe Interest

Joey Veerman appeared set to leave for Fenerbahçe, but PSV Eindhoven ultimately halted the transfer, with Veerman confirming his commitment to stay with the club until the end of the season. This decision has brought relief to head coach Peter Bosz.

In an interview with Voetbal International from the team’s training camp in Spain, Bosz expressed his satisfaction: “We are incredibly pleased that he will finish the season with us. We had been mentally prepared for the possibility of his departure, which would have necessitated a response from us. Thankfully, that is no longer required.”

Bosz acknowledged that PSV was not in control of the situation, noting, “I also heard from Joey that they had reached an agreement. I understand, although I cannot confirm, that Fenerbahçe was willing to meet the asking price. In such cases, one must consider that a transfer could occur.”
