omidbasir- Jordi Cruijff is actively seeking a new head coach for Ajax, someone who can take over from interim manager Fred Grim this upcoming summer. Among the candidates being considered is Thomas Frank, who was recently relieved of his duties as manager of Tottenham Hotspur.

Thomas Frank has been mentioned as a potential successor for the vacant position at the Johan Cruijff ArenA. A report from Tipsbladet speculates, “Could Thomas Frank be the individual to steer Ajax back on track? The past few years have been tumultuous for the Amsterdam club, particularly following the departure of head coach John Heitinga, who later served as Frank’s assistant at Tottenham. Since then, Fred Grim has assumed the role of head coach at Ajax. The question now is whether Thomas Frank could become the second Danish head coach in the club’s history, following Morten Olsen.”

In an interview with Voetbal International, Cruijff was asked about his preference for a Spanish or Dutch coach. He responded, “I want a coach who is demanding, tough, and instills a winning mentality. However, I do not place importance on nationality. I find it amusing that people are talking about a Spanish invasion, especially since my background as a technical director shows that I have worked with far more Dutch coaches than Spanish ones. Therefore, my focus is on what someone can contribute to our team, rather than their nationality.”
