Two months ago, on September 4, 2025, Joseph Oosting was relieved of his duties as the coach of FC Twente, becoming the first manager to be dismissed this season. He was later joined in this fate by Bas Sibum from Heracles and John Heitinga from Ajax. Interestingly, Heitinga’s recent departure from Ajax may now present an opportunity for Oosting. There are discussions surrounding Joseph Oosting as a potential new coach for Ajax. Frits Barend has expressed that Ajax should consider Oosting for the position. In his comments to Nieuws van de Dag, Barend stated, “One person has been freed from his suffering, and that is John Heitinga. It was a tremendous mistake on Ajax’s part to let Heitinga go, especially considering he performed exceptionally well as an assistant coach under Arne Slot at Liverpool. He should have remained with Slot for another year or two, and then gradually transitioned to a head coaching role at PEC Zwolle. It was evident from the beginning that this situation would likely end in disappointment.” Post navigation Bernard Schuiteman Reflects on His Time at Feyenoord Feyenoord’s Challenges Ahead of Go Ahead Eagles Match Following Stuttgart Defeat
