Kenneth Taylor Set for Transfer to Lazio Amid Criticism

Kenneth Taylor is poised to finalize his transfer to Lazio, with the midfielder set to sign soon after undergoing a medical examination this Friday. Ajax will reportedly receive around €15 million for Taylor, not including potential bonuses. However, journalist Hugo Borst has expressed reservations about the impending transfer.

In his column for De Oranjewinter, Borst questions whether Taylor will find true happiness at Lazio. He draws comparisons to fellow player Davy Klaassen, who also ventured abroad but faced considerable challenges during his time in foreign leagues, having played for clubs such as Werder Bremen, Everton, and Internazionale.

Italian transfer journalist Nicolas Schira has revealed further details about Taylor’s contract. According to Schira, Taylor has reached an agreement on the terms of his transfer and will sign a contract valid until 2030, earning approximately €1.7 million per year in Rome. This marks a significant salary increase for the 23-year-old, who currently earns around €1.2 million annually at Ajax.
