Kenneth Taylor Struggles to Find New Club Amid Ajax Departure

Ajax appears to be struggling to offload one of its players, specifically Kenneth Taylor, who is permitted to leave but is facing significant challenges in securing a new club.

According to Portuguese media, there remains a possibility that his former coach, Francesco Farioli, may offer a lifeline. Farioli had aimed to recruit the ‘Player of the Year’ from last season during the summer transfer window, but the proposal from FC Porto did not meet the approval of Ajax’s technical director, Alex Kroes. It seems that Farioli may pursue a second opportunity to acquire Taylor this month.

In his column for De Telegraaf, Bert van Marwijk noted, “This is a setback for Ajax, and if I understand correctly, for the player as well, given that Kenneth Taylor has yet to make a significant transfer. I regard Taylor as a valuable player for Ajax, and he possesses considerable potential. However, his circumstance differs from that of certain super talents from the past who made an immediate impact. Take, for instance, Cruyff, Van Basten, Rijkaard, Sneijder, or Van der Vaart—players who did not require a coach and could thrive at any club abroad. Just give them a ball, and they would shine; it was clear they would succeed.”
