Kodai Sano Impresses in Eredivisie: Interest from Major Clubs

Reports indicate that both Feyenoord and PSV are keen on securing the midfielder’s services, with Voetbal International noting that acquiring him may come at a considerable cost.

Sano himself has commented on the interest from PSV and Feyenoord. He appreciates the attacking style of play implemented by coach Dick Schreuder at NEC. “It’s really enjoyable,” Sano told VI. “I find myself getting the ball more often, which I appreciate. We apply quick and high pressure, which suits me well. Additionally, I can see that the supporters enjoy this style of play; people like to watch our matches.”

With increasing interest surrounding Sano, NEC director Carlos Aalbers remarked, “Clubs at the Champions League level are consistently scouting him from the stands.” He added, “As a club, we never disclose transfer amounts, but we do have a figure in mind. I am confident that he can quickly adapt to a higher level. If a substantial offer comes in that could benefit the club in the long run, we will have to discuss it seriously. However, we are not assuming that will happen just yet.”
