Kodai Sano’s Transfer Prospects Dwindle Among Top Dutch Clubs

It currently appears improbable that Kodai Sano will join a club from the traditional top three in the Netherlands. Ajax, Feyenoord, and PSV are all linked to the Japanese midfielder, but an actual collaboration seems distant.

Among these clubs, PSV seems to have the strongest position to acquire Sano. According to the Algemeen Dagblad, just before the Eredivisie season resumes, it has been noted that the management at PSV is generally not in favor of winter transfers. However, they remain open to the possibility of making a temporary boost, a long-term investment, or a repair purchase. At this moment, though, PSV’s situation appears stable, and they do not seem to require additional players.

Similarly, Ajax and Feyenoord are also stepping back from pursuing Sano. While PSV could opt to secure Sano to outmaneuver competition, the likelihood of this happening seems low. It is known that Ajax is not willing to invest a significant amount, while Feyenoord, despite the potential departure of Quinten Timber, also does not consider Sano a realistic option. Although they regard him as a ‘good player,’ the price tag associated with him appears to be prohibitively high.
