After a disappointing 4-1 defeat to Manchester City, Niko Kovač is anticipated to make several changes to his Borussia Dortmund squad ahead of their Matchday 10 Bundesliga clash with Hamburg.

Julian Brandt was sidelined during the match against City due to a muscular issue, and his availability for Saturday’s game remains uncertain. Additionally, Dortmund will be without Nico Süle, and with Waldemar Anton potentially receiving a rest, Aarón Anselmino is expected to step into the defense alongside Nico Schlotterbeck and Ramy Bensebaini.

In the attacking department, four substitutions are likely, with Yan Couto, Pascal Groß, Jobe Bellingham, and Carney Chukwuemeka set to replace Julian Ryerson, Marcel Sabitzer, Felix Nmecha, and Maximilian Beier.

On the other side, Hamburg is expected to see Yussuf Poulsen take the field in place of Fabio Vieira, who is suspended following a red card in their recent 4-1 loss to 1. FC Köln. This adjustment means Nicolai Remberg will likely partner with Sambi Lokonga in a midfield four, while Merlin Polzin will transition to a back three.

Projected lineups for the match:

Hamburg: Heuer Fernandes – Capaldo, Vuskovic, Elfadli – Gocholeishvili, Lokonga, Remberg, Muheim – Philippe, Poulsen, Dompé

Dortmund: Kobel – Anselmino, Schlotterbeck, Bensebaini – Couto, Groß, Bellingham, Svensson – Adeyemi, Chukwuemeka – Guirassy
