LaLiga Introduces Immersive Reality Experience for FansLaLiga Introduces Immersive Reality Experience for Fans

LaLiga recently tested a groundbreaking immersive reality project during the latest Clásico held at Santiago Bernabéu Stadium. According to the league, this initiative aims to redefine how fans will experience football in the future.

Approximately one thousand fans had the opportunity to use various types and brands of virtual reality glasses outside the stadium, viewing content that was recorded during the match. LaLiga reported that the feedback from this trial was “very positive.”

In a forthcoming announcement, LaLiga, under the leadership of Javier Tebas, will unveil the launch of an application for extended reality (XR) devices, featuring exclusive content specifically designed for immersive experiences.

As reported by MARCA, LaLiga anticipates launching this application in early 2026, with the potential to broadcast live matches in the medium term. It is important to note that, in accordance with the Royal Decree, only LaLiga—not individual clubs—has the authority to develop such projects for broadcasting matches in the competition.
