Levante Shareholders Approve Key Financial MeasuresLevante Shareholders Approve Key Financial Measures

omidbasir- Almost 100% of Levante shareholders have approved the three items put to vote during the Ordinary and Extraordinary General Meeting held on Tuesday at Sala Fenollosa in Ciutat de Valencia.

Among the matters voted on was a capital increase valued at €8.2 million, in which the club’s CEO and owner, Pepe Danvila, will not have the opportunity to participate.

Additionally, the leadership of the Orriols-based club presented the financial accounts for the 2024-2025 fiscal year, which concluded with a loss of €14.1 million. They also outlined future economic plans, estimating profits of €18 million by the end of the current season.

This anticipated profit is expected to result from increased revenue from television rights, subscriptions, and commercial activities, along with the team’s compliance with financial fair play regulations mandated by the competition.

Both the closure of the previous fiscal year and the budget for the 2025-2026 season were approved by over 99% of the shareholders present at the meeting.

Pepe Danvila, the CEO of Levante, clearly articulated the club’s economic situation should they fail to achieve the much-desired retention in La Liga. He acknowledged that it would create a “very tough” scenario and emphasized that his sole objective since his arrival has been to “sustain” the club financially.

One of the most compelling points in his presentation was the emphasis on transparency in management, following the release of all documents previously kept confidential. He highlighted the inescapable threat of relegation due to financial constraints, stating, “If funds run out, the club faces relegation because salaries cannot be paid, and nothing can be paid.”

Furthermore, the CEO took responsibility for his role in the previous board and aimed to convey a message of confidence to shareholders based on three fundamental pillars: “identity, youth academy, and a fanbase that consistently supports the club.”
