Levante Targets Paco Cort s Amid Economic ConstraintsLevante Targets Paco Cort s Amid Economic Constraints

Paco Cortés has become the primary target for Levante in this winter transfer market. The challenging economic climate and strict financial fair play regulations leave the Orriols-based club with limited options for player acquisitions.

To enable new signings for the remainder of the season, the club may need to offload some players or explore different strategies, such as terminating the loan of the young Andalusian player currently with Cultural Leonesa.

“We are extremely tight on financial fair play. It’s complicated to sign new players without letting others go. We are analyzing options to facilitate movements. We have been in contact with the player (Paco Cortés) and are considering the possibility of his return,” stated club president Pablo Sánchez.

In light of these circumstances, the Valencia-based club has formally requested to secure Cortés’ services from Cultural Leonesa, as they could register him under the reserve team, allowing them to pursue other transactions during January, according to ‘SER Deportivos Valencia’.

Beyond the economic situation, Cortés has had limited playing time with the Castilian-Leonese team, which is concerning for Levante and increases their desire to break the loan agreement. Nevertheless, for Cultural Leonesa, Cortés serves as a valuable asset, and they would only agree to the deal if they can find a suitable replacement that does not weaken their squad.

This season, the Andalusian player has participated in a total of ten matches, three of which were in the Copa del Rey, scoring three goals.
