Liam Rosenior Set to Join Chelsea as New ManagerLiam Rosenior Set to Join Chelsea as New Manager

Liam Rosenior, the current manager of Strasbourg, has announced a verbal agreement to assume the managerial role at Chelsea.

The 41-year-old Englishman is poised to succeed Enzo Maresca, who departed on New Year’s Day.

“I cannot turn down this opportunity to join an incredible club with an exceptional squad, who are the Club World Cup champions,” Rosenior stated.

Strasbourg is part of the BlueCo multi-club ownership group, which is jointly owned by Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital, and also manages Chelsea.

“While I haven’t signed a contract yet, I have reached a verbal agreement with Chelsea,” he confirmed.

“I will cherish this club for the rest of my life; however, I cannot turn down Chelsea,” he added.

Rosenior also mentioned that several members of his coaching staff from Strasbourg, including first-team coach Kalifa Cisse, assistant head coach Justin Walker, and head of analysis Ben Warner, will join him at Chelsea.

Further updates on this transition are anticipated.
