Givairo Read has been linked to Liverpool FC for nearly a year. The club intends to secure a right-back in January; however, it appears that Read, currently with Feyenoord, will not be the chosen player.

Arne Slot has temporarily sidelined consideration for the injured Feyenoord player. According to transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano on X, Read’s name has been removed from potential targets due to a recent hamstring injury. Nevertheless, Liverpool, along with Manchester City and Bayern Munich, continues to monitor Read for potential interest in the upcoming summer transfer window, with his transfer fee estimated at around thirty million euros.

Additionally, following the injury of Dutch player Jeremie Frimpong, Romano reported on Friday that Liverpool’s search for a right winger might include Denzel Dumfries. He emphasized that the club would not acquire a right-back solely for the sake of doing so. Instead, Liverpool will only act if they identify a suitable solution.
