Liverpool Signs Midfielder Alice Bergstrom from BK HackenLiverpool Signs Midfielder Alice Bergstrom from BK Hacken

Alice Bergstrom, a standout midfielder who scored three goals for Damallsvenskan champions Hacken last season, has reached an agreement with Liverpool for her transfer for an undisclosed fee.

The 22-year-old, who represents Sweden at the Under-23 level, played a pivotal role in Hacken’s success, contributing eight assists and participating in 25 of the team’s 26 league matches last season.

Bergstrom is versatile, able to function as both a right-sided winger and a full-back. She expressed her enthusiasm for the move, stating on Liverpoolfc.com, “I’m really excited. I’ve been waiting a long time, so it’s nice to be here. I’m eager to get started, and I believe it will be a great year.”

Having recently received her first senior national team call-up for the Nations League bronze medal match against France, Bergstrom previously spent two seasons at Djurgardens before joining Hacken in 2024.

Currently, Liverpool finds itself at the bottom of the Women’s Super League table, yet to secure a victory this season with eight losses and three draws.

The completion of this deal is pending international clearance and the acquisition of a work permit.
