Livingston to Report Alleged Racial Comment to Scottish FALivingston to Report Alleged Racial Comment to Scottish FA

Livingston FC intends to reach out to the Scottish FA to address an alleged racial comment directed at striker Jeremy Bokila during their match against Aberdeen at Pittodrie.

Following a significant 6-2 defeat, manager David Martindale revealed that Bokila, 37, was in tears in the locker room after the incident, which occurred during a second-half altercation that resulted in his red card.

Martindale stated, “I’ve got a 37-year-old striker in there crying, so I’ll need to go and try and get to the bottom of that one.”

In response, Aberdeen FC has asserted that they have no direct evidence supporting the allegation aside from Bokila’s account. They issued a statement acknowledging the allegation of racist language used during the match and noted that the player in question has denied the claim.

Aberdeen’s statement read, “The club is aware of an allegation that racist language was used during today’s match with Livingston FC at Pittodrie. The player concerned has been informed of the allegation and vehemently denies it. Aberdeen FC condemns any and all forms of discrimination and we will co-operate fully with all relevant authorities during any investigation. While this process is ongoing, it would be inappropriate to comment further.”
