Luciano Valente’s Dream: A Return to FC Groningen

Luciano Valente, a midfielder who has a singular dream club, is not FC Barcelona, Liverpool, or even AC Milan—his heart belongs to FC Groningen. In an interview with Dagblad van het Noorden, Valente expressed his desire to return to his true footballing passion.

Valente stated, “One day I will come home.” Born and raised in the North, he has been a fervent supporter of FC Groningen from a young age. He not only followed the local Eredivisie team closely but also progressed through the club’s entire youth academy.

This past summer, the 22-year-old transitioned to Feyenoord, believing it was the best decision for his development while remaining in the Netherlands. “I thought it was best for my growth to stay in the country,” he explained.
