Fans of Major League Soccer (MLS) will no longer be required to purchase an Apple TV Season Pass to watch matches during the 2026 season.

On Thursday, Apple TV announced that all MLS matches will be accessible to viewers who possess an existing Apple TV account. This will include all regular-season games, the Leagues Cup tournament, the MLS All-Star Game, the Campeones Cup, and the MLS Cup Playoffs, all available with a standard Apple TV subscription.

The MLS Season Pass, which has been an additional package within Apple TV, will officially conclude at the end of the 2025 season. This decision comes on the heels of the league’s announcement that the 2025 MLS Cup playoffs will be open to all Apple TV subscribers. Additionally, MLS has made over 200 regular-season matches available to Apple TV subscribers, including all Sunday Night Soccer games, resulting in a notable increase in viewership and facilitating this recent transition.

“Apple will ultimately determine the distribution strategy. As we conclude Year 3, having the playoffs available on Apple TV to reach a broader audience is a positive development,” stated MLS Commissioner Don Garber in October. “We will reassess with Apple to chart the future of our distribution.”

MLS will join the ranks of Formula 1 within the broader Apple TV catalogue, following the announcement of an exclusive five-year agreement for Apple TV to broadcast F1 in the United States starting in 2026.

In addition, Major League Baseball has also partnered with Apple TV, granting subscribers access to Friday Night Baseball at no extra cost.
